been thinking lately about things i'm thankful someone invented...like pacifiers. here's more:

hot water heaters
candles
dvr
beach chairs
sunscreen
contacts (i hate wearing glasses)
running shoes
lamps - i hate overhead lights
redbox
ceiling fans - i know they are ugly but i cant sleep without one
chapstick
diet coke/diet dr pepper
dunkin donuts french vanilla coffee
crushed ice
sharpies
sugarless gum
disposable diapers. sorry, just cant see myself washing cloth ones. i might vomit.
lotion. i cannot stand being ashy :)

side note:
an electrician just walked into my office with a headlamp on. awesome.

my crazy brother wears one when he reads in bed at night. hahaha.

so here's a list of things i could/would eat without stopping: (except i'd get sick)
trail mix
donuts
chips & salsa
pizza
peanut butter
smores (with peanut butter)
butter pecan ice cream
waffles/pancakes
captain wafers
toast
hummus

things i may never understand:
why the recording at goo-goo car wash talks SO LOUD
people that run in the middle of the day when its hot
why people drink their calories
how people enjoy collards
men in speedos
people that dont eat carbs
pantyhose
socks & sandals
kids on a leash
paying a lot of money for makeup
mcdonalds ice cream cones being SO FREAKIN SMALL. they give you the puniest amount of ice cream.
why the chicken at chickfila has so much sodium.
why nametags wont stick & stay on
roaches
why it ever needs to be over 90 degrees outside
how people sleep with animals in their bed. disgusting.
why fudruckers is SOOOOOOOOOOOO expensive. you dont even get a side with your meal. what?!

random thing i wanted to share. my mom told me this and i loved it.

we were talking about how we treat/talk to people. she said her friend got an email about a father & son. i guess the son had a temper b/c the dad told his son to go outside and hammer a nail in the fence every time he wanted to lose his temper with someone. his son came to him one day and said he'd put 57 nails in the fence. his dad then told him to go take the nails out. so he did. his dad pointed out to him the "scars" that the nails left in the fence. he reminded his son how his words/temper effects the people around him. what a great reminder to watch myself. i want to be SO careful with the way i speak to gabe and even jay.

i totally did a horrible job of retelling that story. but you get the point.

i'll list more stuff later...
